The Sony Xperia S is set for release very soon and the white edition of the Xperia S is to be sold exclusively by Phones4U on contract deals in the UK, the first of a new breed of smart phones to drop the Ericsson brand name this new, slim, touch screen handset showcases the best of what the manufacturer has to offer.

The Sony Xperia S White offers a large 4.3 inch HD touch screen display for watching back video and viewing images captured on the high quality 12 mega pixel camera, the Xperia S camera features Sony’s Exmor-R technology producing great shots in low light conditions so even when on nights out the usual blurry, dark photos will look outstanding.

The camera can also capture full 1080p HD video clips and a further secondary 1.3 mega pixel camera can even stream 720p HD video which is great for using with Skype, the White Sony Xperia S is also Playstation certified and features BRAVIA engine graphics plus track ID and xLoud music enhancements for the media player.

Supporting 3.5G networks and Wi-Fi for fast connections plus GPS with Google Maps for navigation the Xperia S will initially come with the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating software until an update promised in Q2 of 2012 takes it to the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich edition.

Below the main touch screen are some soft touch buttons for navigation and the phones dimensions are a slim 128 x 64 x 11 mm with a combined weight of 144g, this latest Sony phone is sure to give the leading competition a run for its money in particular the best selling Samsung Galaxy S2 and newer ICS (Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich) running Samsung Galaxy Nexus as well as the iPhone 4S and HTC Sensation XL.
